Mixed media in painting

The use of mixed media in painting is very common in recent years. The materials available on the market and finding different textures and techniques makes are not as pure and tight to a single material. One point to note is that the materials that apply have enough grip on the cloth or wooden board, this provision will not take off later parts of the work. Some interesting materials to use is building cement and sand. These need a fixer to adhere onto the surface. One option is the fixer preferably water which is used for the walls before applying the paint. But instead of diluting puro. The sand and the cement can be painted once dry or may be pigmented before placing. It can be applied with a spatula or stiff bristle brushes.Asphalt paint is another material that generates different finishes depending as dilute. If pure stands will have a good shiny finish when diluted with turpentine will overshadow but also would lower its intensity. In more technical brief. I give you some examples
