Oil paintings

Oil paintings: some situations to consider before you start painting Why cracks occur in some pictures? There are several things working in the paint and that must be taken into account when addressing a work if it is to this last and not altered. One of the points to check are the layers of paint that are overlapping. It happens sometimes that it is less flexible than the other which has been placed under and this produces the appearance of some brands. Another possibility is that it is painted on a hard surface, very patinosa and where the paint washes off. The base can not absorb the paint placed on top but if it is thick. Extreme changes in temperature, strong current heating and extreme cold can cause cracks, especially in paints applied to tables but also on canvas is produced. The lack or poor tensioning of fabrics also collaborates with these cracks
